Holly Blossoms With Nomination For Top Law Award

 July 5, 2021

By  Holly Mylne

Exciting news for Blossom Lawyers. Our principal Holly Mylne is a finalist in one of Australia’s most prestigious legal industry awards.

The Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards 2021 will be announced in Sydney next month, with Holly in line for national Sole Practitioner of the Year.

Holly says the nomination is both humbling and positive recognition after a challenging year.

“Like all businesses, when COVID-19 hit in early 2020 we worried about the future, especially given our relatively recent arrival on the local legal scene. But rather than shrink before what was happening, we devised new strategies to help our clients negotiate the pandemic.”

A major factor in Blossom Lawyers’ success during 2020-21 has been the expansion of our education law service, providing legal support for previously under-represented students.

“We found that firms generally represented education providers, while students – particularly international students – are often unaware of their legal rights and are reluctant to pursue action, even in cases of clearly disputable rulings,” says Holly.

Lawyers Weekly editor Emma Ryan congratulated Holly and all the award finalists: “Coming off the back of the turbulent year that was 2020, it gives us reason to celebrate the accomplishments of leading legal professionals more than ever.”

Good luck, Holly.
